Detoxing Greens Bowl

Why is this bowl “detoxing”?

Cilantro picks up toxins and heavy metals and effectively brings them to the liver. Dark leafy greens help support the liver in its natural detox processes.

Detox dressing

In a high speed blender or food processor add:

1 large bunch of cilantro (leaves + stems)

Juice of 1 lemon

Peeled ginger (about 1/2 - 1 inch long)

1/4 olive oil

Pink salt to taste

Optional: jalapeño slices

Blend it together! Slowly add more olive oil for desired consistency

For the bowl:

Get creative here! I like to keep the green theme because green means detoxifying!

Pick a gluten free grain like quinoa

Choose 2-3 green vegetables - I did green beans, crispy Brussels sprouts, and broccoli sprouts

Add a leafy green (for more detoxing benefits!)

Add avocado, hummus, crispy chickpeas, fresh cilantro and any other toppings you’d like

Drizzle the detox dressing on top. Or add it by the spoonful like me! Trust me it’s so good you’ll want to!
