Savory Oatmeal Bowl for Hormone Healing

Starting your day with a breakfast that is rich in fiber, protein and healthy fats will change your health. You will notice the difference on day one. A balanced breakfast will:

  1. keep you fuller longer (you won’t be looking at the clock an hour later wondering how long until its socially acceptable to eat lunch)

  2. You will have more sustained energy (no more 3 pm crashes and less cups of coffee needed)

  3. You will have less sugar and carb cravings (this can help with weight loss, gut health and hormone balance)

  4. You may experience less bloat (when you are fuller longer, you will snack less. Giving your body 3-6 hours between meals to digest is optimal for digestive function)

  5. Your blood sugar will be balanced (which is essential for hormone balance!)

This savory oatmeal bowl is the perfect combination of protein, fats and fiber. The additional of the raw carrots actually makes this recipe perfect for your luteal phase (the 4th phase of your menstrual cycle right before your period). Raw carrots help flush excess estrogen from the GI tract.

Savory Oatmeal Bowl for hormone healing

Ingredients

1 packet of gluten free oats (I use @Bob's Red Mill)

1 large carrot handful of arugula

Organic eggs

Olive oil

Acid League living vinegar or AVC

Sea salt

Optional: Mikes hot honey and nutritional yeast (vitamin b rich!)

Method: Make vour oatmeal as suggested. In a small bowl, add shaved carrots, arugula, drizzle of olive oil, sea salt and vinegar. Make your eggs) as you prefer. I do them over easy. In your oatmeal bowl, add your arugula and carrot salad, eggs. Top with nutritional yeast and mikes hot honey. Enjoy!
